LAREDO, Texas – World ranked Jessie Magdaleno of Las Vegas will not return on Saturday night as planned. he was scheduled to headline the televised card on Unimas in the “Solo Boxeo Tecate” series at 11:00 p.m. (East/Pacific). His opponent John Mark Apolinario (18-5-3, 5 KOs) of the Philippines failed to get his license and Magdaleno was knocked off the card entirely.
Top Rank has now rescheduled the return of Magdaleno to May 1, as part of their TruTV card at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
Now in the headline spot, two-time Mexican Olympian Oscar Valdez (15-0, 13 KOs) will take on the roughed Jose Ramirez (25-5-3, 15 KOs) of Mazatlan, Mexico in an eight round featherweight bout.
