The belts mean more to Haymon than he would want to admit. I think he wants to have a title holder in each weight division so that when he brings in his PBC titles, he can hand them to existing champions and have them give up their existing titles. He can do this in a special ceremony and get a lot of free publicity out of it. But Quillin has thrown a wrench in that idea and I can't see him getting a shot at any other MW title anytime soon.

What other MW fighters does Haymon have that he can try to maneuver into title position?

Isn't Danny Jacobs tied in with Haymon? definitely agree Quillin not being able to fight for the title was not what was planned. However you know Haymon, he'll find a way to spin this into his agenda.

did you know that 155-160 lbs is mw? I'm not a fan of catch weights but if you fight one ounce over 154 then you are a mw
