What does "the big fight" do for the Cold War?

Does it help in any way? Lets say everything after all is said and done with Manny & Floyd & all turns out quite well on the business end (not just financially), do you think Arum, tMt, & Al Haymon can do business in the furture (besides a re-match)? As we can see with the fight around the corner, things can be negotiated from networks to beer companies, so why can't it be done more? & if there is no further compromise for boxing between the feuding factions, who do you blame? & why?

The big fight does virtually nothing for the Cold War.

Given network and promoter divisions it's unlikely "Haymon Boxing" work with Top Rank or Golden Boy on another fight.

no i doubt it. the only reason this fight happened in the first place is because leslie moonves had to step in and really put pressure on espinoza, floyd, and haymon. if it wasn't for leslie this fight would have never happened because floyd and his team didn't want it and they absolutely despise arum/top rank and HBO.

Don't think this is the direction Haymon wants to head in. Think he is trying to do his own thing with PBC, like UFC model. Seeing Golden Boy-Top Rank working together, but Golden Boy has a very limited stable. Can do some things here and there, but they need more talent, see them maybe trying to recruit at the international level, while PBC mostly focuses on USA fighters.

I agree with this. Really don't think Mayweather wanted this fight, and think he was forced into it, given the poor numbers he was doing with opponents for Showtime deal.

GBP vs Top Rank was the cold war. GBP isn't involved. So nothing.
