I can understand if they were trying to make it where they only way is if they signed a deal with PBC and tried to steal Kovalev away.... but if it's just one, it's just one damn fight for something you've been chasing for 2 years and can bring back to HBO.

Also the backlash will fall back on them.

Nobody in their right mind should want to see this fight on pbc. Commercials, horrible commentary and bad production.

Im with you , why be psyched that a fight is on free tv, unless thats a way of saying you cant afford hbo, which in that case its understandable but if i was in that situation id go watch it at a friends house. All things being equal hbo puts on a better show and is a better product, i think a fight of this magnitude belongs there.

Does anyone think Haymon wants Kovalev on PBC knocking Stevenson out in a fight Stevenson joined Haymon to avoid?

I'm still sceptical as to whether this fight happens.

My guess is HBO will block this fight from happening through language in the new contract they give Kovalev. I think Duva will hide behind HBO and justify doing this by saying Stevenson did the very same thing when he signed with Showtime/Haymon.

I really hope I'm wrong and this fight gets made this year.

This is going to be ugly. HBO should not want to give this fight up, and Haymon damn sure can't afford to give away this match-up either. HBO is gonna have to open up their pocketbook and stop being stingy.

ME will definitely need help from HBO to win this purse bid.

The way I see it, whichever fighter has to fight on the "rival" network is in a must-win situation; Kovalev cannot lose on PBC, and Adonis cannot lose on HBO.
