He did look good in spanking an old handicapped Martinez, though.
    Is he done probably?

    Lets break it down.

    Lost to a cheat Margarito.

May and Pac are potentially ATGs (And he pushed Mayweather to the limit).

Clottey - looked shite but got the W (all boxers have these fights).

Trout - Bad style match up, props for him for taking a high risk low reward fight that was blatantly a bad style match up. If other boxers had this attitude they'd have a few more L's on their resume.

Overrated? sounds harsh. He fought EVERYONE and has had a damn good career. Give me an overrated fighter who fights everyone and loses over an overprotected cherry picker anytime.

Every fucker and their mom would fight Pac and Floyd for the money they bring so stop acting like it's all that and some. Marquez fought both of them too and his ass didn't fight everyone either.

Did you not forget hatton jumped up to 147 and barely beat collazo? then after he lost he didn't even fight right away he waited almost a year to fight again.

According to Bruce Trampler, Top Rank's longtime matchmaker, he is. Found this on hbo boxing.

"Judah would not have been Cotto's most dangerous foe to date had Trampler found a way to get Ricky Hatton into the ring. Trampler revealed for the first time that Top Rank had been trying to make a Hatton-Cotto fight happen at junior welterweight.

I've seen this posted before. I found the link once but didn't save it but I did find this part:

"For the last two years, Cotto has been willing to fight Floyd Mayweather and Ricky Hatton at what ever weight," Trampler said. "Get this straight: Cotto ducks nobody. Here's a scoop for you: there were numerous discussions with the Hatton people, but Ricky went up to 147 and then came back down. Miguel is staying at welterweight. But Hatton knows where to find Cotto when he wants to get it on. Floyd is the most skilled boxer in the world, an immensely talented athlete, but he won't beat Miguel Cotto.""

And floyd is the one that said cotto lives too far and that cotto is too green:

Mayweather, who's 31, argues that a fight with Cotto isn't worth his time right now. He believes Cotto needs to build himself into a pay-per-view attraction and then step forward for a lucrative matchup.

"I'm only going by credentials," Mayweather said. "Now I pick and chose who I want to fight. He [Cotto] is with Bob Arum; he has a boss. Once he goes out and becomes an entrepreneur and makes it worth my while, we can talk."

Miguel Cotto has dreams of a big "Money" fight -- as in a showdown with Floyd "Money" Mayweather. Can a win over Alfonso Gomez angle him toward a date with the welterweight king?

      Here's floyd on cotto:

“Cotto needs a couple more tune-ups. Right now he’s a little too green,” Mayweather said.

and paul williams just lost to quintana and then moved up asap.

Man, win or lose, Cotto has been a great ambassador for the sport! He's always been humble win or lose and never ducked top competition, even in losing.

When Margarito was the most "feared" man in boxing, Jr. retired conveniently and who stepped up to the plate? That's right. He came up short, but he gave a hell of a fight despite being blasted with plaster for 11 rounds.

Losing to Pac was no shame. Losing to Trout, nobody gave a ***** including Cotto himself. He never was motivated for it.

I've been to some Cotto fights at MSG and Atlantic City, and honestly, aside from the Trout and Clottey fights, he's never failed to entertain and give you your moneys worth.

He'll always be in my top 5 ATG most exciting fighter of my generation.

I forgot there was even a title on the line for Jennings, who cares. That means Cotto has better guys working for him than Marg's. Cotto got a title shot off of a loss and Marg got stuck fighting a literal cab driver in Mexico and you're hating on Cotto for fighting at least a real fighter. Let the hate flow through you.
