Roach has the most TOTY's for a reason

the reason being he is a white guy with Parkinsons who trains Manny Pacquaio...popularity + pity = accolades

accolades are mostly popularity based and opinion based...KOBE earned 5 nba rings and we knew he was the best player of the 2000's but Lebron has only 2 rings but 4 mvps.....just like Manny got fighter of the decade in the 2000s but lost to erik Morales and never beat Juan Manuel Marquez clearly. Mayweather went undefeated and participated in the biggest fight of the decade and won, also in 2000 and before when no one even knew who Manny was, Floyd was already considered a top ten p4p fighter and was deemed the heir apparent to Roy Jones

Pac was already won a championship before he got him

that 2013 trainer of the year he got was not deserved and we all know that, even some of his biggest fans know it.

Roach is no better than Naazim Richardson, Nacho Beristein, Dan Birmingham, Robert Garcia...he happens to be a white guy who trains the most beloved fighter of our era.

roach hasn't even built a champion, all his fighters knew how to fight before he got them

Nacho Beristein built greats unlike Roach and helped fighters develop their game just like Roach does

        Nacho Beristein co-managed and trained

ATG Vincente Saldivar(HOF), Daniel Zaragoza(HOF), the Marquez brothers(BOTH COULD GET IN), Jorge Paez, Ricardo Lopez(HOF AND ATG), Humberto Gonzalez, Guty Espadas Jr. and SR and I don't know if he ever won trainer of the year

Nacho developed these guys.....lets be real....what did Freddie roach teach James Toney? nill and ****....before he got with Roach he was already a 2 division champion and a one time ATG

Roach is a very good trainer but isn't head and shoulders over his peers. Nacho has developed more champions than any trainer in this era.

They should have let Freddie get at ariza he'd have kicked his ass sick or not
Ariza soon ran for cover didn't he. Shoot a stiff breeze would blow Floyd Sr over. Considering the way he doesn't let his debilitating illness hold him back Freddie is a mighty gutsy guy

realistically though Floyd sr is in great shape for a 60 year old

He'd kick Roach's butt from Mayweather boxing club all the way to Wild Card gym

Roach wasn't very talented as a fighter

Mayweather just a defensive genius, think again

Mayweather's offense just as good as his defense. He just picks his spots when to use. One of the more memorable fights is his fight against arturo gatti, just unskilled enough to show mayweathers offensive brilliance. Theboxingguru. Com explains why.
