Valero is sloppy, careless, no defense, has an ugly fighting style, and only fights bums. NO reason to get excited over a fighter that has HORRIBLE technique. He is garbage here is a vid

thanks for the vid buddy ...

even in PACLAND Valero is making some noice, 19-0 (19 Ko's), a lot of pac fans are reminded of a young pacquio, WILD, aggressive, NO DEFENSE and willing to trade from the starting bell...

he only needs a good trainer to polish his skills and when and if Valero beats Mosquera, there are a lot of intruiging matches for him and pac is one of them ...

I'm not sold on Valero either.

He has no defense at all. He got hit many times on the chin in his last fight. The only trouble is his opponent recognizes and respects his power too much in the early going, and he hasn't met a slick boxer who can frustrate his movement yet.

I agree his style is ugly and he can't fight at close range.

He needs a lot of polishing before he can be considered for real. Otherwise, he'd just be another Daniel Ponce de Leon.

This Valero guy wont last with real competition. Put him with Manny Pac. Pac will KO him in the 1st round if he fights like that.

It's really foolish of Valero to go straight after a top-five contender. He needs to break himself in with a coupla tough fights, mebbe against blown up featherweights, or veterans getting close to calling it a day. I can see a Hernandez-Valero fight being a pretty good test, as well as Medina-Valero. Top-fifteen type opponent. Right now the only guy on his record who meant anything was Whyber Garcia.

You're being too harsh. Yeh, he needs to tighten up his game, but if you can't see the potential, that's your fault. He's got fast hands, good timing and great power overall. If he got a really good trainer, like Nacho Beristain or Freddy Roach or Buddy McGirt, he could go a long, long way.

It's an irrelevant comparison. Valero is not a former titlist, a pound for pound fighter, or probably bound for the hall of fame at this point in his career. He's a prospect. Being a prospect is about learning. He's obviously not learning enough, but you could say what you said about most of the top contenders.

yup he is really a prospect and a Eciting one at that, after seing several video of Valero fights he was just like PAC when Manny was still starting, having a more impressive start qith 18 straight first round KOs ...

hope he does not belong to ponce de leon's of boxing, by the way what happen to ponce ?? don't here much of him lately ...
