Comments Thread For: Garcia: When Bombs Hit Peterson's Face, He'll Forget Skill

WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny "Swift" Garcia (29-0, 17 KOs) is ready for his PBC on NBC main event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Garcia Will face Lamont Peterson (33-2-1, 17 KOs), who holds the IBF title, in a non-title catch-weight bout at 143-pounds.

There will be a televised co-feature, with the middleweight championship being contested between WBO beltholder "Irish" Andy Lee (34-2, 24 KOs) and undefeated Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin (31-0, 22 KOs). The second installment of PBC on NBC begins at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Garcia is not worried about the skill level of Peterson. He believes that once his power punches stated landing on Peterson's face, the IBF champion will forget about skill and begin looking for a Plan B.

NICE KID! Not afraid to let the 0 go. That's how it should be. Between him and Thurman's attitudes, boxing can have some GREAT matchups.

So what sporting events will be airing while this fight is on? I hope it's not basketball because I will be at work while this is on. I do not have time, a lot of inmates will be upset because all tvs will be on NBC channel 6. Two great match-ups, no one can say one of the fighters have no chance in either.

Nice little rendition of everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.

            Danny has underrated power.

Peterson will be in range, his whole offense is based off resting his head on your shoulder to get off shots. Danny will be countering Peterson all night, and might even stop him.

He stayed disciplined and boxed after he was dropped vs victor ortiz and still battled back to a draw,..

I like danny in this fight, but Lamont will be a tough out for him, especially behind the jab..

"I've faced a lot of fighters with skill, i'm still undefeated"

Mauricio Herrera would disagree with that

Garcia is assuming Peterson will play his game in this fight. Peterson should have figured by now that Garcia's KD's happen in the middle of heated exchanges. I don't think Peterson will put himself in that position. He will clinch all night in this fight, which will frustrate Garcia.
