Zab Super Judah Appreciation thread: no trolling allowed

He gets a bad rap for being a frontrunner but he was one of the most talented fighters of his generation. If he had the mental dexterity or make up of some one like Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacqiuao he would have been one of the greats

He didn't live up to his potential in many peoples eyes but he didn't become an undisputed welterweight champion, in an era of splintered belts. Also won the IBF title early in his career and also when he past prime and 33 years old


Contrary to popular believe, he did not lose all of his significant fights and had some very good wins

Wins over champions/titlsts: Kaizer Mabuza, Junior Witter, Demarcus Corely, Cory Spinks, Rafael Pineda, Terron Millet

Contenders/gatekeepers: Reggie Green, Micky Ward, Darryl Tyson, and Lucas Matthyssee





Judah is one of my favorite fighters from the time when I really became enamored with the sport around 1996-1997 and I watched him not make the Olympics and go one to be a world champion. It was great to see

Zab Judah is one of the most overrated fighters in my lifetime. People who are mesmorized by speed and power fell in love with him. But he choked in every big fight he was in. His biggest win is Cory Spinks. If Judah wasn't from Brooklyn he would have been dismissed a long time ago.

Solid, talented boxer. Was one of my favs growing up.

Checkered character, and sore loser. And gun shy in the ring.

On his best night though he could give anyone problems.

Zab was a good fighter and an appreciation thread is long overdue.

My only problem is that where there a Zab appreciation thread made before he became Floyd's sparring partner?

I used to go beatween NSB and Boxing247, I usually do one on my favorite fighters who started out in the late 90s and are active today about every 2 months


Zab was my favorite fighter in middle
school....along with Jones Jr, Floyd and Prince Naseem Hamed....i'll be 30 next month



People **** on Zab....chicken dance videos, his shortcomings but he was a quality fighter and had a lot of talent


He is still around today when more touted guys from his era are gone like Fernando Vargas, Cory Spinks, Margarito, David Reid, etc....mad props from me

One time I was trolling Zab Judah's facebook fan page, and was making fun of him - the chicken dance, crying (after he gave an interview talking about how real boxers and real men don't cry.), etc.

Then I just said out of pure humor - "hahah you also got beat up by a White boy" in Tsyzu (even doe he's not a "White boy," per se.)

Then his baby momma came on and started talking **** to me - "White boy dis; white boy dat... Zab gon' beat yo White ass..." Hahah then his brother Daniel Judah started talking **** to me challenging me to a fight... And some girl who has a radio show in Brooklyn started trying to get us to go on her show to hype up a fight between us.
