Golden Boy Promotions was the sole bidder, submitting what appears to be a minimum bid of $102,000 to win the IBF's purse bid for the ordered middleweight clash between David Lemieux (33-2, 31KOs) and Hassan N'Dam (31-1, 18KOs). The two fighters will battle for the vacant IBF middleweight championship. There will be a 50-50 split on the money.

N'Dam became the mandatory challenger to the title last October after winning a final eliminator over Curtis Stevens. He was due to face champion Jermain Taylor. But then Taylor, who is currently facing an assortment of legal issues, was stripped of the title. The sanctioning body ordered Felix Sturm to face N'Dam for the vacant belt. Sturm, who no longer wants to fight at 160, took a pass.

Lemieux is gonna get paid a lot more then 50K. N'Dam not so sure lol This is all about N'Dam and his promoter, how do you not even make a bid on your own fighter. Lemieux is an exciting fighter who draws fans. Great opportunity for him to grab a belt and move on to a big fight later this year.

Just to clear things up, N'Dam is with Michael King, not Don King. Michael King is a billionaire or close to it.
