The expectation for Orlando Salido was to arrive in Puerto Rico by Sunday evening, allowing for a full day of rest before entering into fight week activities for Saturday's showdown with Rocky Martinez.
Ever the road warrior, the reigning 130 lb. titlist from Mexico brushed aside travel issues, spending his Easter Sunday in transit before arriving in Puerto Rico on Monday afternoon.
“We had a few issues and slept in Miami last night, but we're here in Puerto Rico now,” Salido confirmed. “I feel very good with the work we have done and ready for this fight with Rocky, a strong opponent who always comes forward.”
The bout takes place in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
