Seeing as Ward fans continue to use that victory and the one over Froch as examples of War's 'greatness', it's only fair to critique the performance. Besides, Ward has hardly been in the ring since that fight so what the hell are people supposed to talk about? Maybe he should simply be forgotten.

For him to be disqualified, the referee would have needed to warn him, take a point and see him continue to commit the offense. Without ANY of that happening, he should not have been disqualified.

Outside of completely blunting Mikkel Kessler's offense before coming in, Kessler should have accounted for and adjusted to the "tactic" by maintaining distance with jabs, hooks and uppercuts.

So, not only did the referee continue to allow what you have deemed offensive, Kessler did as well.

Definitely should have been warned and penalized if it continued. Ward would have had to fight a completely different fight so maybe Kessler would have done better or maybe not.

We will never know due to terrible judging.

Ward using headbutts and elbows was bad but what made it worse was the ref allowing it to continue to happen. The worst thing of all Ward didn't need to use the dirty tactics. He beats Kessler with just his skills.Ward beats Kessler 10 out of 10 times without fouling.I hate seeing good fighters using dirty tactics to win when they don't even need to.

If Ward fought like that anywhere else in the world he would have been disqualified imo, all of Kesslers cuts were via headbutts. Not one were due to Wards puches.

What you guys think, ward fought fair and square, or ward should have been disqualified?
                    LLS at the bold.

If you feel Ward should've been DQ'ed you should 100% feel Ricky Hatton should've been DQ'ed against Tsyzu, yes?

                      Let's be real

It was a god damn beast of a head butt! The one where Bernstein said "Let's be honest here Ward went in like a billygoat.

Lead hugging with you head down and eyes closed should be treated as an intentional butt. What the hell did Ward think would happen?
