Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Stands Firm That Golden Boy Pact is Over

Earlier this year, Golden Boy Promotions and manager/adviser Al Haymon reached an undisclosed agreement to go their separate ways. Haymon walked away with an army of his fighters.

But, a very small number of Haymon's fighters remained contractually obligated to Golden Boy. However, there was a contractual clause in those remaining contracts which allow Haymon to fully purchase them.

One fighter who many believed was still contractually obligated to Golden Boy was Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs).

This is great for both sides. Haymon and PBC get a boxer who's got a "marquee" name, who's just popular enough to sell a free network TV event to fans, and Golden Boy gets to unload an overpriced fighter who isn't good enough to sell PPV events with. Win-Win as far asI can see.

I believe in Canelo - I believe he's going to fight GGG. I believe he'll be the first star to do so and he will give us a great fight. He might even not get KOd in the fight...

Why do you think Richard Shaffaer was sued?
