Should Provodnikov have gotten the decision against Bradley?

Did you make this thread to try and justify Khan fighting Algieri? It was close, but I believe he nicked it. That knockdown in Round 1 was ruled a slip and could've made a lot of difference. Even a Draw, but unfortunately Bradley doing the Standy Leg wasn't enough to be called a knockdown.
Provodnikov is a beast who only has one true loss on his record and I'm not talking Herrera. I think he won't leave it to the judges this time. Good thing Mattysse also comes to engage. I definitely think Provo got this.
However, what do you think? Should Provo had gotten it?Last edited by Fists_of_Fury; 04-05-2015, 02:32 AM.Comment

Listen, if someone wants to say that the ref was in his rights to call the fight a kayo for Ruslan early, I can actually understand that. But I don't get the people who thought Ruslan got robbed of a decision. I think Bradley outpointed him cleanly as hard as the fight was and as much punishment as both took. People talking about robbery? Nah.Comment

Cleanly is certainly not the word to be used. It was 114-113 on two cards for Tim Bradley. Let's assume that knockdown was called it would be a 10-8 round for Provo. All other things being equal, what would those two score cards had been in that case?Listen, if someone wants to say that the ref was in his rights to call the fight a kayo for Ruslan early, I can actually understand that. I originally felt it was a draw or it could have gone either way by a point. No controversy here.Comment

I had Provo winning 1, 2, 6 and 12 and gave Bradley the rest, so even counting the first round KD I still felt Bradley won.
I was lucky enough to have been at that fight. It was the greatest fight I have ever seen in person!Comment

People remember the beating Bradley took but both guys were pretty ****ed up by the end. Roach was talking about stopping the fight in between a few of those rounds. If that KD in the first was scored, that would be 10-8 1st and 10-8 12 that 4pts with 10 round left to score, so Bradley would have to win 7 rounds just for a draw. I thought the second round could have been a 10-8 Provodnikov the way his punch were landing compared to Bradley (harder, more damage) good 2 way action though.
At worst it should have been a draw (I was at Chaves draw, it wasn't even close, Bradley won), but I thought Provodnikov did enough to win.
I think thee real question is who would you have rather been at the end of the night? Bradley was pissing blood I think, had a concussion and would have gotten KO'd if they still went 15.Comment
