British superstar Amir Khan has lashed out at the critics who jumped on him after he decided to pass over a domestic cracker with IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook in favor of facing once-beaten Chris Algieri. After Brook's destruction last week of mandatory challenger Jo Jo Dan in four rounds, the Sheffield fighter called for a June 13th showdown with Khan.
But yesterday Khan announced that he was going to face Algieri, likely in New York on May 30. Algieri is coming off a twelve round decision loss to Manny Pacquiao, who scored six knockdowns in the fight.
