He might have been finding his range but he was getting beaten up in the process, Garcia couldnt have kept going for long taking those shots.

I thought Khan was winning but Garcia did his thing and got him out of there.

He already had him on his wheels since the second round.

I think, if danny beats lamont and khan algieri they two should rematch, it would be a pretty big fight at Barclay's and the winner could take on Floyd at the Barclay's next. Since khan doesn't seem to want to fight brook or thurman to earn his shot. Another good option in case danny comes out victorious against lamont, would be for him to fight thurman on the next PBC at NBC, and the winner goes on to take on floyd in his last fight.
If Danny Garcia beats Lamont Peterson in style, he throws himself headlong into the Mayweather sweepstakes; Danny/Angel and Brook/Hearn should both book their tickets in the first five rows. If Floyd washes Pacquiao 9-3/10-2/11-1, Floyd would need a new opponent for his last fight (Cotto 2 and Alvarez 2 would be the biggest fights to make, but Brook and Garcia would be 1A and 1B after that).

Floyd goes another way, and Garcia either goes with a summer title defense against Postol at 140 or his debut at 147 (against a guy like Robert Guerrero), before closing out the year with a big fight (maybe the Khan rematch). Thurman is a fight that could wait for 2017 tbh.

Counter punchers absorb early beatings to measure and get their range right.

Marquez with Diaz in their first bout was getting handled or so it seemed, but then what happened? The only Khan loss worth talking is Peterson, which is hardly a loss given the circumstances. The other two are KOs, no questions.

The problem with Khan was the lack of head movement. From an intellectual standpoint, I'm sure it's different when you're actually facing ANY fighter, if you get/ got the timing on touching his body, you knew EXACTLY where his head was going to be.

Garcia touched that body and ended up throwing a blind punch that would have tapped Khan right on the chin if he had moved his head back even a little bit to avoid the hook. It just happened to work just as well.

He was fighting off emotion, Angel Garcia clearly got in his head.

I remember watching the fight live and there always this feeling of inevitability that Khan was going to get clocked, even in the whole two rounds that he won - and then BOOM!!!.....the birth of the Harlem Shake.

I haven't said amir wasn't landing or outlanding nor didn't win the 1st two rounds, I'm just saying that it's not like garcia didn't have any answer.. danny was trying to use his great timing to counterpunch khan with combinations and single shots, and they were exchanging leather, it was obvious that the fight wouldn't last long, for any side, if they continued at that pace
