Yeah I remember reading about the barbed wire thing... nuts... I seems "cruel" but this sort of training makes fight night much easier... Look at how easily Roy handled most of his opposition... Train like a maniac and fight night easy(relatively)... People don't realize how hard you need to train to be a professional fighter... think of how few spots there are at the top... and the guys that get to the top are willing to do ANYTHING to get there...

I know you ain't serious because Jones and Tyson got the same number of knockouts. RJJ always had the ability to do Montel Griffin II type performances but he chose not to.f He didn't want the anger to get the best of him especially after what happen to his friend Gerald Mcclellan. Earlier in RJJ career he was knocking people out consistently check the boxrec stats.

Yeah there are a couple of good HBO segments about his background that might be on youtube. Also I remember being pretty blown away when he revealed he had two kids that the public didn't even know about at the time. They were already like 5ish when HBO did the segment... I doubt he could pull that off in current times.

True Roy definitely was a specimen even today he still is.

He's been using this Gravity Plus suit only a month now and he's the only boxer that can go 12 rounds with it at 46 years of age. Other boxers/athletes can only last 3-4 round.

Check the video with James Foster that designed gravity plus suit. He has had other boxers/athletes such as Tim Bradley etc. The creator James Foster talks about the gravity suit at Roy's press conference here. It's not a youtube link so here's the link to the video. http://www.pnj.com/videos/sports/2015/03/25/70458300/

Check this clip of RJJ talking about it before his last fight.

That was cringing to watch but insightful. Just a very strange interview to dive that deep, a televised therapy session :s

Well I heard they asked the typical question questions but felt this was more interesting and intriguing since you never really see that side of Roy.
