Comments Thread For: Khan: Hopefully Algieri Bout Will Lead To Bigger Fights

On Thursday, Amir Khan ended any hopes of a summer showdown with British rival Kell Brook after announcing his next opponent will be Chris Algieri.

Khan came under increasing pressure earlier this week to arrange a fight with IBF welterweight champion Brook, but the Bolton fighter instead looks set for an outing in Algieri's home city of New York on May 30.

While the non-title welterweight bout against Algieri has not been officially rubber-stamped, Khan is happy with his choice of foe.

Khan said: "You can class him as an A-class opponent."

Either the admins on here are huge khan tards or they just like trolling us. Khan gets more threads than pac and floyd combined

His plan is gonna backfire. After Algieri wins, he'll be more than happy to beat Brook too.

Brook is actually easier than Khan for Algieri

This **** believes people from there are gonna travel for ****ing Algieri. Book your plane tickets and hotel rooms early ****s. The war of the century between Khan vs Algieri is coming.
