Sounds like this isn't going to be much of a challenge for Ward but hopefully he is done taking breaks and keeps a consistent fight schedule after this first mismatch he is about to take.

Hopefully it is a Decent Opponent! Roc Nation does need to secure a partnership with a Network or something.
      you sound like a groupie.

Only a fool would think Wards team would put him in with a top guy right away. This is a tune-up fight.

Does this make any sense? Wouldn't it be better if they just took short money from HBO or even Fox? Sadly, he could've had two fights already this year by the time he takes this one. And against Porky Medina? Oh well.

Yes. How dare us common fans expect a world champion to fight a legitimate contender. Of course I understand that he is coming off a grueling court battle. You have to admire his courage.

To be fair, all fights involving Ricardo Mayorga were hyped. But IMO, even if he did fight Mayorga as a comeback fight, itd be better than fighting some club fighter or journeyman.

He is going to be re-branded, that's all his next couple of fights will be about imo. That's the only thing that makes sense to me.

Will he be any less boring to watch fight?
