So much for getting the Mayweather fight; no one is going to see Khan facing off against Arum's "Great White Hope" attempt as anything more than it is; Khan facing a light-hitting junior welterweight who's talent level may place him top 10 at 140.
Khan fights a guy who he has better skills than, a guy who's punch won't put utter fear into his legs, and a guy who is coming in with no momentum.
Rather than face off with Kell Brook early June (Wembley), to actually force people to demand that he fight Mayweather/Pacquiao, he's facing Chris Algieri, with his "big fight to look to" being a rematch with Danny Garcia [Brook/Hearn seem smart enough, to me, to push for/secure a June fight with Juan Manuel Marquez (on Showtime), emerging as a meaningful and marketable fight for Floyd Mayweather Jr after he routs Manny Pacquiao.
