Mike Tyson once said, "Everybody has plans, until they get hit."
Many fighters came into the ring determined to do what Cotto would be determined to do in a fight with Floyd, but once they take some shots, they lose some of that determination..
I think the excitement of the fight will all be in Floyd's hands..
If he decides to stay in the pocket and trade, yeah it will be an exciting fight, but if he decides to box, it will be a one-sided affair..

      re

Cotto is still developing. He isn't ready for PBF. Cotto should fight Judah first. It's a less dangerous fight for Cotto because Judah's mental lapses will give Cotto openings and then we'll really find out if Cotto can take a punch, if Cotto can hit a faster fighter, and if Cotto can cut off the ring on a slickster.

I think Cotto will fight Harris for Harris' belt later this year or more probably next year. Then Cotto will move up to 147 and challenge Judah, who will lose to Spinks. Should he beat Judah, which i think he will, Cotto will then challenge the winner of Tszyu/PBF (Tszyu will beat Spinks and be undisputed).

He can't lose a decision, but if he does get dropped, I wouldn't doubt 'em. I think he would be able to make it up, and take a victory. I do think alot of people would say whoever dropped him should have won the fight on the cards just because they scored a knock down..

What happens if one of Cotto's next few fights brings doubt to you, like if he gets dropped, or if he really loses a decision, but is given a gift. Are you still going to think he's ready for the elite?
I don't think Cotto can beat Floyd right now because he hasn't seen a fighter as fast as Lil' Floyd nor one with as much movement. He needs to get ready for such a fight against people like Sharmba and Corley (Chop being a lefty will help him develop his right hand a bit more), maybe even Zab. Once he fights at least two of these guys then he will be in a great position to give PBF the fight of his life.

I think Sharmba should be his next fight since he's coming off a KO loss and brings tons of experience to the table. After that, Harris should watch out.

People always say that Cotto and Zoo will cut off the ring on Floyd but he is more offensive now. They wont have to cut off the ring because he wont be running from them. He will move and box for the first few rounds and then he will sitdown with them and stay in the pocket. People assume that he cant do that with them because they are so big but they will swing and leave openings for Floyd to counter all night with pinpoint accuracy. Also when he gets in the pocket he can see the punches coming so he can roll them and if they do hit him they wont hurt as much becuase he is expecting the punch

Some people say that Mayweather had to fight a perfect fight against Mr. Corrales...imagine what he'd have to do against a guy who has great power up/down and who doesn't move around the ring like baby huey. It'd be awesome to watch Floyd's quickness and D against Cotto's body attack and great all around game.

I wonder if Cotto would get frustrated when Floyd moved on him...I havent seen him flustered in a fight yet.
