Brook has got to earn it like Khan did. Brooks mindset is OK Amir has been toiling and fighting the best in the trenches for 5 years so I can bypass that 5 years and absorb his accomplishments if I get lucky and beat him. Well Kell, fighting Go Go Dancer and Pawn Shorter isn't the Wonka Golden Ticket. Earn it you Turd.

I'm guessing Khan's next opponent will have "earned it"

Haymon doesn't want to cash out Broner yet and I think Khan doesn't want Thurman now (high risk, low reward).
        How is that?

Haymon doesn't want to cash out Broner yet and I think Khan doesn't want Thurman now (high risk, low reward) so it will probably Algieri, a guy who is known by many people because his Pac fight and also a guy with no serious punching power. In other words it's a safe choice for Khan. He is not even with Haymon so heisn't protected and I guess they want another payday hence a Khan fight will be okay for them. What I don't understand is why Khan thows around 140 lb-ers names like Broner and Algieri? Isn't Khan is a full fledged welterweight now? I think Thurman is just a name drop but I hope that the opponent will be Thurman.
The Algieri option is the worst out of the three but sadly it just sounds to logical compared to the Broner and Thurman options.
yes, another light hitting, lighter-weight fighter for Khan; about right.

Be disgusted at the business side of boxing, not Khan. I really can't blame him, he makes some good points. The fight could be bigger, and the majority of people in America have no idea who Brook is. Therefore, if he beats Brook, he still won't get the stateside recognition he is trying to achieve regardless of how good a victory hardcore fans know it is.

Khan is aiming for the American names, names that get him recognized and in the spotlight for a potential big fight. He really wishes Brook would be recognized stateside so the fight would be huge and he'd earn out of it not only the title but what he wants which is mainstream recognition that translates into a requested big PPV fight by fans.

Brook's best win is Shawn Porter, I mean, come on now. And Brook is good but it's just not worth the effort at this point. Economically and significance wise, the fight still has long ways to go.

That would be all well and good if Khan was fighting some big name next.

Instead, it's going to be Chris Algieri - a guy who people only know because he got put on his arse six times in an embarrassing display against Pacquaio.

But Dirk, look... Algieri fought Pacquiao. That right there gets him in the discussion with the big names. Automatically, Pacquiao's name will get brought up when the fight is discussed. Performances will be compared and comparisons will start to get made. You see what I mean?

He is trying to grab fights and names that spark up discussions related to the big names.

By the way, Brook is extremely talented. I would love to see the fight BUT I completely understand Khan at the moment. I don't get a scared vibe from him at all you know. He is willing to risk, just with names that are worth it so should he lose, he'd still gain from the effort and heart given. He's been thru enough trials and setbacks to risk for nothing at this stage in his career.

Algieri fought Pacquaio and looked terrible. No one will care if Khan beats Algieri.

I take your point that Brook isn't that well known in the US. I'd understand if Khan was fighting a Bradley or a Marquez or Cotto but Algieiri....

Brook has a world title and if Khan wins that, he becomes the only champion in the division alongside Mayweather or Pacquaio.

You know them times when you're looking at a 4 year old kid in the face and saying ''WHY DID YOU GO IN THE CUPBOARDS!?'' and they say ''I didn't I didn't'' with chocolate all over fingers and face
