BoxingScene.com recently caught up with former super welterweight champion Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs), who currently holds the WBC's silver title at 147-pounds. The former Olympic silver medalist has campaigned for a fight with pound-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs) the past couple of years with no success.
While Khan still holds out hope that Mayweather, holder of the WBC/WBA world titles at welterweight and junior middleweight, will face him after his May 2nd super fight against Manny Pacquiao, he does admit that the fight may not ever come to fruition.
