Comments Thread For: David Haye: I Want To Finish Career Winning World Title

DAVID HAYE is willing to accept an undercard fight in order to kickstart his comeback.

"The Hayemaker" finally plans to return to the ring in the coming months, three years on from stopping Dereck Chisora.

A hand injury in 2013 cancelled Haye's comeback fight against Manuel Charr before a cut and then a career-threatening shoulder injury ruined two dates for a grudge match with Tyson Fury.

He now wants to build towards a world-heavyweight title fight against American WBC champion Deontay Wilder, but recognises he may have to start small.

Must have been almost 2 years ago now. Vitali Klitschko was still WBC Champion and Haye had just pulled out of the first scheduled fight with Fury.

I said at the time he's waiting for Deontay Wilder to be manoeuvred into winning that title and then he'll magically recover from his "injury", sign with Haymon and chase that fight.

This 'boxer' must be close to setting a record for press releases about future fights that don't actually involve a fight.

No I'm a fan of his ability but he's everything that's wrong with boxing even when he was fit he would fight less than Ghandi never mind when he's carrying injury's realistically if he was to have 2 fights before a world title fight with Wilder that would be us into 2017

His fights usually are exciting, but he should stop talking and get in the ring.

No. He's the best most exciting heavyweight. But, he needs to stop talking and start fighting. It's getting old even to me.

Haye is the man. Him, Fury and Wilder are what's left of heavy weights.
