Angel Garcia, father and trainer of WBA/WBC junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia (29-0, 17 KOs), is hoping IBF champ Lamont Peterson (33-2-1, 17 KOs) makes good on his promise to come forward and make it a fight on April 11th in their Premier Boxing Champions [PBC] headliner clash at the Barclays Center, in Brooklyn, New York.
While there are three world titles between them, none of them are at stake as the fight is being contested at a catch-weight of 143-pounds.
Angel is annoyed with some of the comments that he's read from Peterson and his camp members, who the controversial trainer believes are being overconfident and acting like his son is going to be a pushover. Angel wants them to test the punching waters by attempting to come forward with pressure as they've stated they will do.
