Titles in boxing, there needs to be a change!!

The fact we live in one world and have 4 champions at the same weight is pretty
    Disgusting to say the least.

One world title is the only way forward.

Do you think rid**** chicken bowe would of been so quick to throw his wbc belt in the bin.

Pac vs may is being marketed as the undisputed ww championship but with kell brook as ibf holder its disputed.

Sort out these unification title matches and lets get back to one title give the title some value again.

I agree. I would like to see boxing do 2 thing simultaneously.

    1. Adjust weight classes (as they have in Olympic boxing) to account for the growth of humans. Same weight classes for over 100 years makes little sense IMO.

    2. Once that is done, use an independent board (maybe the Transitional Boxing Board as they seem the most honest and fair) and take the top 4 ranked guys at the new weights. Put names in a hat, pull them out, make the fights, and the winners of that fight for the title.

    3. in a division that doesn't change weights (like HWT and LHW will likely stay but a SUper HWT division needs to be added) make the lineal champ the champ, rank the contenders, and make the lineal champ defenda aginst the #1 contender to avoid any kov/Stevenson rigo/lsc/Frampton or cotto/ggg sitiuations.

I think every boxing fan would like to see the number of belt out there decrease. It's hard enough for genuine fans who follow the sport, imagine being a new comer trying to watch and you see some guy being announced at World Champion, only to find out he's like #8 or #9 in his division.

Say what you will about Don King, and yes he was a horrible excuse for a human, but he had a vision to make WBC be the end all be all of sanctioning bodies. I think as some of the old guards of promoting start dying off, Al Haymon could be the person to basically declare one body superior, and who could argue with him? Now I have NO IDEA if that's something he'd want to do, but the sport needs a revamp...the only people who don't seem to think so are WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO.
