a few years back on national television jorge paez got dismantled by unheralded america troy dorsey. typically the white fighter was robbed in america and also when dave tiberi dominated the grossly ovrrated james toney.also the white american was robbed in that fight too. in the 90s white fighters were robbed and ridiculed at all times and the great euros were neve able to be seen here in the ***nited states.

Everybody picked Bute to knock Froch out. Nsb, the bookies, you name it.

I think Chris Algieri Vs Manny Pacquaio was a great great upset in recent times.

Broner getting ******ed also Khan vs Garcia I guess you can say Khan twice since he got iced twice, and almost 3 times actually by that lightweight,I reacted worse than his dad when he got put on his back on that one .

Rigo vs Donaire to me not so much because I knew Rigo had it in him also Gonzales putting Mares away was a pretty good watch. What makes upsets great to me is being completely surprised by a fighter I had no idea had it in em to beat the favorite, but Broner ******ation was great just because karma .

Khan vs Garcia is hardly an upset. It was a unification bout. There is always bound to be an under dog in every fight doesn't necessarily make it an "upset".

            Khan-Prescott was a massive one.

There is always an under dog in every bout. So, that would make just about every other fight an upset.

It's weird if that was the case as you mentioned as I don't remember. Froch was a former World Champion who had been in some tough tough scraps win/lose and that too on the road. Bute was a protected investment always a combination away from being busted. The best name on his resume was Sakio Bika and that too as a contender. If anything Bute was the underdog, factor in the fact he boxed in Froch's country.

Nah mate. Everyone was high on Bute, I'm pretty sure Ring Magazine had him as the #1 at SMW ahead of Andre Ward. Most people assumed Froch was finished at the big time after his heavy defeat by Ward.

Obviously hindsight is a wonderful thing, but at the time, every man and his dog was picking Bute, he had loads of fans on here, who unsurprisingly disappeared after Froch took his soul.

Bute was the favourite. ****, I even picked him (disproving another of your air head theories that I always pick UK fighters).

Bute was so confident of winning that he came over to Nottingham. They thought Froch was damaged goods after the Ward defeat. Bute was the favourite everywhere. Obviously not Douglas-Tyson scale but it WAS an upset.

Again, it was a question. I never claimed anything.

I guess I hold Froch way too high then. The day it was signed I knew Bute will get thrashed. I always always knew Bute was a protected investment. Nothing more.

A personal favourite of mine is DG v Lucas cos I was one of the few who said Garcia would win, I kept ****ing on about and all I got in return was "dos rounds" I laughed so hard when Lucas sagged against the ropes, still one of the best boxing moments in a long time.
