Hes a journalist. Thats what he does. Just because he didnt box doesnt mean he has no knowledge in it. I find his articles interesting, and his rankings are pretty accurate, so why hate on the guy? Besides 90% of sports journalists never played pro sports, but they still offer their opinions on things cause they love it and get paid to do it.

i think bill walton is a concrete example that playing the game does not make you a better sports anchor/journalist/analyst

Most boxing writers are like your normal fans, I don't agree with most of them, just like I will never agree with most of the boxing fans.

The biggest problem I have with the press is whatever they write, people will agree. If 10 top boxing writers calls a fighter to be the best ever, guess what everyone will agree with them.

....Listening to Rafael is bad enough, but then you have to look at his face as well. If you must listen to him on TV I find it's best to close your eyes. He's still tough to take but only half as bad as he could be.
