It's easy to pick holes and people might say the long lay off of Ward may give Froch the advantage , the fights that Froch has had he may be sharp and ready.
The time off might have been great for Ward, the hard fights Froch has had might have been one too many.Let's just call it no different.
I just think Froch's thinking is spot on, knock Ward out or lose and at this time and level I am not sure Froch is willing to take that gamble.

It will be one of two reasons.....

Either, Ward feels that GGG is totally irrelevant because they both fight in completely different divisions, because Team Golovkin will run for the hills anyway with Abel stating that "Ward is not a draw", and he is likely just as sick of hearing the ignorant fanboy chat as I am.

The fight is being mandated. Carl Froch has been out for a year himself, has been having wars whilst Andre has sat on his arse. Also, unlike Andre, Froch actually has other big fights available to him which will pay more.

I mean if you're going to suck off Ward for taking this fight, then you better make room for the Cobra in your mouth too.

They both have to take the fight or drop their belts. It's nothing to do with either of them being throwback heroes. I appreciate the romanticism for your guy though.

I like Ward. I like Froch too, he is a legend, but I like Ward better.

I hope it happens, Froch has earned the right to try and overturn the loss. Ward should beat him again if the inactivity/lack of decent opponents hasnt worked against him too much.

Really? All he said was that he doesn't believe Ward is telling the truth when he says he will come to England. The two camps are still negotiating.

I've never really believed the fight will happen because both guys don't particularly want it. They're both proud men though who don't particularly like each other so neither wants to back down and drop their respective belts at this stage.

To me it sounded like he was surprised Ward would fight in England, and he just wants it in Nottingham or is even bluffing assuming that he wont travel to Nottingham. He asked him to come to England and now that Ward is accepting he is throwing some other things in the mix talking about Ward being unable to make the weight talking about wanting to fight Chavez. Ward does want it Im sure he belives he will win, make a lot of money and as his career stalled, his promoter wont work with half the boxing world this is a key fight for him. It may just be posturing but from Frochs recent actions and comments to me it seems like he is ducking.
