  • Comments Thread For: Hearn on Froch's Options: Ward, Chavez, Golovkin, More

CARL FROCH is "sick enough" to face Gennady Golovkin before he retires.

The British super-middleweight star, 37, is currently in talks about a rematch with rival Andre Ward, who he lost to in 2011.

But promoter Eddie Hearn revealed curiosity could lead to a clash with heavy-handed middleweight sensation Golovkin.

The Kazakh bruiser is unbeaten in 32 fights with 29 of his wins coming by KO.

If Froch is still asking whether GGG hits hard or not, after all the fighters who have made statements detailing exactly how hard GGG does hit, I think it might be better for Froch to stick with fighting soft handed fighters like Ward.

Or he could ask Curtis Stevens...

Well we know he hits hard at middleweight against bums like Curtis Stevens. Congratulations.

This is an elite fighter and multiple time world champion at 168lbs we're talking about

Yeah, but it's speculative as to how that power will carry to SMW. We know Froch takes a punch and has great stamina, and just as Golovkin's relentless attack would pose a threat to Froch, so would Froch's toughness, awkwardness and his long jab pose a threat to Golovkin.

I like GGG but in truth I think once GGG steps up in weight and steps uphis competition for that matter he gets stopped and I think Froch would lay it thick on him.

On a separate note, all the best to Errol Christie in his fight against cancer - you can beat it Champ.

Froch wants an outdoors fight in his hometown and the lions share of the money? He should fight GGG then.
Ward and Chavez Jr aren't going to Nottingham

Who wouldn't like to see this fight, except Froch, his promoter and his family?

Of course because Froch, his promoter and his family are used to seeing 8 figure cheques.
