He looks exactly the same. Same speed, same combinations, same vulnerabilities. He's looked impressive against the same kind of opponents he looked impressive against before Hunter.

He fights with much more movement, doesn't hang around in the pocket, he fights with more caution in that he doesn't dive in as much he doesn't get excited and overdo it with the combinations any more and he ties his opponents up on the inside instead of just taking punches. I view him as a more intelligent fighter now, much less gung-ho and more disciplined.

There are so many other match-ups I'd rather see Khan in. I'm not even sure if Algeri would make my top 10.

Khan vs. Porter/Thurman/Brook/Bradley/Chaves/Marquez/Guerrero/Broner. I would rather see him rematch Maidana and Garcia than fight Algeri.

and he had the nerve to call brook a cherry picker. khan for the last 9 months has been saying that he's in the upper class of fighter. brook is a champion. algieri is a no power stiff thats coming off a loss. looks like khan is the cherry picker. why not fight brook,broner,porter,berto,maidana,or thurman?

So he successfully tied up two opponents who can't fight a lick on the inside, is that really commendable to you? Khan isn't a difficult fighter to get to because he's predictable, doesn't variate his attack at all and he leaves openings even when, as you put, he doesn't overdo it with combinations. Khan's chin is always open for the left hook and the overhand right is always gonna be available since Khan squares up with a guard that's easy to get around.

Is Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) looking to outshine his former sparring partner on May 30th? Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, who promotes IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook, told UK scribe Nick Parkinson that rumors circulating around the British circles have Khan stepping in the ring with Chris Algieri (20-1, 8KOs), who in his last outing was dropped six times by WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao. The Filipino star won a wide decision but he was unable to stop Algieri inside the distance.

Hearn would like to get Khan in the ring with Brook on June 13th in Wembley, but doubts it's going to happen.
