Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield - In an IBF International middleweight title clash, Sergey Khomitsky (30-11-3, 12KOs) once again proved to be the spoiler in crushed previously undefeated Adam Etches (18-1, 15KOs) with a one punch knockout in the fourth. Etches was doing very well in the first few rounds, but a single counter right hand dropped Etches hard on his back and he was seriously hurt. The referee did not even issue a count, quickly waving off the contest. Etches was being pushed as the next big thing among the British middleweights, but the veteran Khomitsky, who previously knocked off Frank Buglioni, turned him back in fashion.
