Should Wlad have been DQ'd against Povetkin?

The fight was an absolute disgrace. Klitschko should have had a point deduction in the first round, another one in the second and eventually been DQ'd. He fought like a spineless coward vs Povetkin, he did not box but wrestle him out of the ring.

I believe that the Povetkin of current form, who is in much better shape than in his fight vs Wlad, has an excellent chance of knocking Klitschko out in the rematch with a fair referee. Your thoughts?

The ref should have forced him to change his strategy with a point deduction.

I doubt it would get to DQ territory after that. But if the ref doesn't care I guess why should the fighter.

Yeah he should have got warned and if he didnt stop he should have got disqualified. I blame the ref who didnt enforce the rules and make it a fair fight. I didnt expect anything better from wlad.

He at least should have had points taken away to discourage him. That was blatant cheating and he got away with it. I don't think I've ever seen a fighter clinch and hold like Wlad did against Povetkin. It was disgraceful and completely illegal.

He needed to get points taken for sure to stop the ****, but not DQ the answer is as usual somewhere in the middle.

Ref should have deducted points, but he didn't. Don't blame Vlad, Povetkin had no plan B either.

                Points deducted at least.

Wlad was very lazy in that fight, and Povetkin's strategy was idiotic. All he did was run head first into Wlad's chest and try to land an overhand shot on the inside.

Of course Wlad could have moved, picked him off with jabs or uppercuts but instead chose to hold. Wlad also is getting up there in age, he can't move like he used to.

He did what all veterens do, do what will help you win. It's the refs fault to enforce the rules
