  • Comments Thread For: Marcos Maidana Eyes Berto, Garcia, Thurman in The Fall

Former champion Marcos Maidana (35-5, 31KOs) is looking at a ring return on a date in August or September, according to his adviser Sebastian Contursi. In an interview with Argentina daily El Litoral, Contursi said Maidana would be back on a date in the fall and there potential opponents were named - Danny Garcia, Keith Thurman and Andre Berto - in that order of possibilities.

Philadelphia's Garcia holds a undefeated record of 29 wins (17 KOs) and fights in New York on April 11, against Lamont Peterson non-title match. Although both are champions at 140-pounds, they are colliding a few pounds above the limit.

Marcos Maidana vs Andre Berto would be a good fight considering Maidana's coming off of 2 losses.

    It'd probably be a War.

Maidana would KO him inside of 5. Berto gets hit way too much and maidana is not josesito. everything maidana throws is with bad intentions and berto has a suspect chin.

Maidana KO's Berto. Berto should avoid him and fight someone with less power.

Maidana won't even be able to make 154 by then. Thurman sends him back to Argentina with his Gucci shades. Danny wins too

Since they're both coming off loses, why not Maidana vs Guerrero

**considering he'd be coming off back to back loses by the time they fight, I don't see why Thurman would take on Maidana .. seems like a lot of risk, with not a lot of reward

Garcia or Thurman would be respectable opposition...good on Maidana for keeping it real.

maidana eyeing on beto is like a lion checking out a zebra ...it is a mouthwatering meal...

Garcia, depends on the ref...you get smoger in this fight and its a wrap maidna win..

Thurman is the fight he got a chance but pretty slim, 40% at best..

                    IMO
