A Plea for Compassion towards Freddie Roach

Parkinson's Disease is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that has no known cure. It affects 60,000 Americans each year.

It is a tragic disease that not only disables the victims. It is also a social disease that affects families.

The reason I am bringing this up is because Freddie Roach - like Muhammad Ali, Michael J. Fox, and Olympic cyclist Phinney - is affected by it.

What is very disturbing is that people in this forum - along with the Mayweathers - like to poke fun at Freddie Roach's condition. By doing so, these people are making a mockery of all of the people (and their families ) that are suffering from this great tragedy.

Please stop insulting Freddie. Stop hating on him. And if you get the chance, tell Alex Ariza and the Mayweathers to do the same.

Roach always said in documentaries that he doesn't feel sorry for himself and doesn't want anyone else to. He does what he loves which is something MANY on this forum can't say or have yet to experience (at work).

He also makes more money than many of US will see in our lifetime. I highly doubt he cares what many people say of him at this point in his life.
