James Degale vs Andre Dirrell: IBF SMW title

Dirrell is mentally weak and less offense minded than George. Once DeGale gets on the inside and starts landing, It'll be interesting to see how he copes. My concern is that DeGale was ineffective(for the most part) against Groves while coming forwards as he was always hesitant when in range and thus got disrupted by Groves's sharp jab. Dirrell can follow a similar game plan so DeGale needs to prove that he's learnt from that fight.

I'm gonna go against the popular belief that he is mentally weak. Can you show me the fights in which he has been mentally weak in? I think against Carl Froch he showed mental toughness to stick to a game plan in a hostile environment. Against Abraham he outboxed him until he got knocked out for the dq win. If you say he is mentally weak because he doesnt go for the kill against lesser opponents then that would mean someone like Floyd Mayweather is also mentally weak too right? I just would like to know what people mean when they say that.

I think Degale might have a slight edge.

But if Dirrell is at his best he should take the fight, he has more experience and is on home soil.

It's a real test for Degale, he has not faced anyone of real quality since Groves.

In fact, Degale's resume is s**t.

Put money on Dirrell. He's a risky pick but George Groves analysis of the fight pretty much convinced me.

IMO, posters here are overestimating Andre Dirrell. The guy has looked horrible since his return.

I think Dirrell is the slightly more talented fighter, but DeGale's got more dog in him, he can dig deeper than Dirrell and I think that will be the difference on Saturday.
