Tarver is lazy while Hopkins is a beast in the gym.IMO it will be close for the first 8 rounds with Tarver possibly being up slightly and when Tarver fades B-Hop will come on in the last 4 rounds and win a UD.Comment

Yeah, I see your point here. Johnson and Tarver both had to vacate their belts to fight each other, and Tarver should have been undisputed anyways after he KOd Jones. So should he win, this should make Hopkins the Linear champ actually.Originally posted by Scott122Oh and by the way, beating Tarver means he beat RJJ and GLencoffe as well. Thus, making him the legit light heavy weight champ.Comment

Originally posted by Scott122First of all, bernard was a little too old for Jermain, and therefore Jermain BARELY beat him both times. I thought Hopkins won the first fight but drew with Taylor the second time. What kind of 40 year old can keep up with a youngn and still hold his own. If hopkins was 37 he would have knocked out Taylor in the first fight. NO DOUBT!
NOw, Tarver isn't really the jumpy hypher kid Taylor was and he himself is like 38 years old. Tarver doesn't COME at you and that is good for Hopkins. Tarver also gets lazy sometimes, which is ALSO GOOD for Hopkins. I see the fight being dominated by Hopkins coutnerpunching and ring generalship. No matter what, Hopkins is still one of the best middleweights ever, and will end his career happily with a UD or possibly KO of Tarver.
I dont think he is going to clearly beat him. But I do think that Tarver will use alot of his energy early on. Tarver is not a active fighter but he seems to be tight which causes him to fatigue. Look for Hopkins to sweep the championshiip rounds and Possibly but not likely take out TArver by TKO. Hopkins can be the first to go after Tarver when hes dead tiredComment
