He already beat Glen Johnson. It was in 1997.

Tarver is lazy while Hopkins is a beast in the gym.IMO it will be close for the first 8 rounds with Tarver possibly being up slightly and when Tarver fades B-Hop will come on in the last 4 rounds and win a UD.

Yeah, I see your point here. Johnson and Tarver both had to vacate their belts to fight each other, and Tarver should have been undisputed anyways after he KOd Jones. So should he win, this should make Hopkins the Linear champ actually.

NOw, Tarver isn't really the jumpy hypher kid Taylor was and he himself is like 38 years old. Tarver doesn't COME at you and that is good for Hopkins. Tarver also gets lazy sometimes, which is ALSO GOOD for Hopkins. I see the fight being dominated by Hopkins coutnerpunching and ring generalship. No matter what, Hopkins is still one of the best middleweights ever, and will end his career happily with a UD or possibly KO of Tarver.

I dont think he is going to clearly beat him. But I do think that Tarver will use alot of his energy early on. Tarver is not a active fighter but he seems to be tight which causes him to fatigue. Look for Hopkins to sweep the championshiip rounds and Possibly but not likely take out TArver by TKO. Hopkins can be the first to go after Tarver when hes dead tired
