I hear that. To me, there's no way you'll convince me that Cotto wants the Canelo fight. Let alone GGG. He's had several opportunities to fight the former the last few years. If he eventually fights Canelo, it's because he's kind of forced to. I think he knows he loses and if he had it his way he'd avoid it entirely or save it for last.

Or it could be that some people have lots of free time while at work and a kick out of getting fanboys like eater of ass and Javi riled up.Anybody who takes time out of their day, to hate on a fighter thread after thread, is special and most likely unhappy with who they are in this life. BIG difference between those who support, and those who have a need to "hate..."
That is some John Hinkley Jr type shyt right there.

it would depend what those comments are. If they are incorrect, I would address them. If they are correct, I leave it alone. I'm a boxing fan first and foremost. I don't "love" any boxer. Do I have some favorite fighters, yes who doesn't, but that doesn't mean I have the blinders on. Again, I have stated my position on the cotto issues.Okay, now you're just acting silly. You don't love Miguel Cotto? Okay buddy..
How about this then:
When someone posts negative comments about Miguel Cotto you tend to quickly come to his defense. Fair enough? I think that's a fair assessment of your behavior on NSB. I think most posters here see you as a Cotto fan first and foremost, no? I do. I know several others do too. Deny your NSB essence and you lose ALL credibility.
Next time instead of talking out of your ass, have a boxing conversation with me first asswhipe. Now go f^ck yourself mr high and mightyComment

Fixed that for you brahAnybody who takes time out of their day, to DEFEND a fighter thread after thread, is special and most likely unhappy with who they are in this life. IS THERE A BIG difference between those who HAVE A NEED TO "defend", and those who have a need to "hate..."
That's some PEASANTCRUSHA shyt right there

Care to explain what happened with canelo and cotto after the martinez fight? i would like to hear your perspective.I hear that. I'm not even mad. You're the guys telling me how things might be, I'm telling you how the are. You're mad about theoretical situations...Comment

I can see him taking the Canelo fight so long as he get's off of his high horse and drops the diva attitude. In his mind he's bigger than what he really is and needs to stop acting as if Canelo brings nothing to the table.I hear that. I'm not even a diehard Canelo fan but I know he wanted and was ready for this fight. He even called Cotto out in his own hometown paper and Cotto got pissed off! LOL.Comment

Even Gaby Penagaricano stated that they weren't happy with the financial terms and couldn't come to an agreement despite Cotto being offered a career high $10.5mil.
Lets also not act as if his upcoming deal with Roc Nation had nothing to do with Cotto stalling the negotiations.
It's now the end of March and Cotto is yet to solidify an opponent, venue, network.
Exactly. Why do cottostans act like cotto and his team weren't stalling on purpose. They were waiting for this Roc nation deal.
They offered 10 million before he became MW champion and beat Sergio Martinez. They shouldn't offer him more than he is worth the first time.
@ Bardock I clearly stated he tried to fight in early December but Freddie was training Manny for Aligieri in November. THEN late Jan they started the talks with Canelo and he ran off with his tail between his legs.
By Jake Donovan - Reports have begun to swirl of progress being made in regards to a potential clash between World middleweight champion Miguel Cotto and former 154 lb. titlist Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. Except that it’s not. Oscar de la Hoya, president of Golden Boy Promotions, insists that the Alvarez side has agreed to all terms and that the only thing left is for Cotto and his team to follow suit. In recent weeks, de la Hoya has also: offered to put up a record-breaking purse in order to secure the rights for a long-awaited showdown with Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao; has suggested that the winner of this weekend’s showdown between Amir Khan and Devon Alexander is next in line for a shot at Mayweather; insisted that an all-British bout between Khan and Kell Brook is “Plan B” in the event that Khan doesn’t land Mayweather, and that such a fight would draw 100,000 fans. Credit to the Hall-of-Fame fighter and now full-time promoter for drumming up interest as it relates to his promotional company, who hosts Khan-Alexander and a full undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas this weekend.
So what you're saying is Roach was never available to train Cotto for the Canelo fight? OK got it

No. I'm saying Cotto didn't want to train in the Philippines and there's no point in paying to train with Roach if he's only with you for 2 or 3 weeks.

This right here is the truth , GGG has called Cotto out in every interview he ever had , calling him a great champion and being class act about wanting to fight him , you think K2 closed the next fight before getting "Cotto WILL NOT FIGHT GGG next , you can carry on" from Cotto ppl`s ? dont be naive. He is a top rated MW with belts but Cotto is the lineal champion. The difference is GGG has stated his intent and interest in fighting Cotto many times but Cotto statements are ambiguous in regards to fighting GGG. If Cotto stated his willingness to fight GGG they both could be fighting each other instead of the opponents they are going to fight.
hhmm it didnt quote the first post :SComment
