To be fair, i think he sounds punchy naturally, it's just the way he speaks. i saw something and it showed a very young Brandon Rios talking about Victor Ortiz when they were friendly, he was probably still around 18 or younger and he sounded similar to what he does now. I always thought he was very punchy until i saw that and realised it's just the way he is, but he might be a little worse now.
He said he used to spar all the time even as a little kid, so he got punchy early, his tongue got heavy early. I remember him telling Elie he just loves to spar, dude will spar a lot when he was young so his tongue started getting heavy early.
