WBA featherweight titlist, Nicholas Walters, burst onto the scene back in October by stopping Nonito Donaire in six rounds at the StubHub Center in Carson, California, in what was his HBO debut. He was scheduled to return on March 21st before being knocked out with the flu bug.
Sources have told Boxingscene.com that 'the Axe Man' from Jamaica will be making his return to the ring in June. Top Rank - which promotes Walters - has two HBO dates that month. One is on the 13th( at the Theater of Madison Square Garden, where Felix Verdejo could be facing Ivan Najera) and a card that might land on the 27th that will feature Tim Bradley's. It's being reported that Bradley will face IBF 154-belt-holder Cornelius Bundrage and Mexico City of all places, is being discussed as it's destination.
As for who Walters might face, he was slated to face Gamalier Rodriguez back in March, but the Puerto Rican is now scheduled to face Vasyl Lomachenko on May 2nd on the Pacquiao-Mayweather undercard. [Click Here To Read More]
