I didn't hear Jean making any excuses... he literally just stated that during the fight he perforated an ear drum and had blurry vision.

At no point did he say 'if it was at 100%' or 'this is to blame for my loss' anything to that effect.

The article even says Pascal alludes to how much Kovalevs shots affected him!!

i think pascal has the more skill of the two, but kovalev had the more discipline, better game plan, and his power behind that can make u look ordinary if ulack the ability to adjust long term...I really saw nothing thatmade pascal change how he was fighting in the 7th from how he was in the 5th and 6th when he was losing..i think he just didnt have the composure to keep it up..i really think a mayweather type fighter would have owned the fight from that point on with kovalav....i fear that if kovalev cant set up his jab he has not shot beating ppl at a high level.

there was an earlier interview in which he stated the fight shouldnt have been stopped and that he would have knocked kov out had they let it go on. that was ridiculous. the guy is a poor loser and sportsman
