Comments Thread For: IBF No Longer Sanctioning Bouts Under The GBA

Effective immediately, the International Boxing Federation (IBF) will not sanction any bout that is held under the supervision of the German Boxing Association (GBA), until further notice.

This ruling does not in any way affect German promotional firms Sauerland Event and SES, as neither promote with a GBA license. SES is working with a license under Bund Deutscher Berufsboxer (BDB) and Sauerland Event is working with a license from the Faustkämpferverband Austria (FVA).

Both the BDB and FVA are members of the top boxing authority in Europe, the EBU; whereas the GBA is not a member.

Klitchko must be ducking someone again and had to go about it in the usual Klitchko way of dealing with legitimate threats. Pay offs and blacklists.

Yup, that's clearly that's the case, especially given that his IBF mandatory is now a Ukrainian. Read yourself sometime...
