    Best fights for Golovkin

These are really the only fights left that are worth anything for Golovkin's resume. Martin Murray was an okay victory, a step in the right direction, but now, we need these opponents:

Cotto: Just for the belt and name value.
Quillin: The most dangerous fight for Golovkin. Wud be his signature win.
Saunders: Young, undefeated, on a very good winning streak.
Canelo: Canelo needs to move up for this, but I wud like to see the execution.

Those 4 are the only fights worth anything for Golovkin's resume and honestly, if he did win those 4 fights, his middleweight reign would become legendary. But honestly, I find no other opponents interesting for him at the moment.

Golovkin is so good that I believe he destroys all of those guys. We are really fortunate to be watching him in his prime. He is turning 33 this year though, so hopefully he doesn't start declining before some of these guys stop being afraid and step up to the plate.

MW is going to heat up in 2016 with guys like Alvarez, Lemieux, and Eubanks all becoming established. But if Haymon/HBO don't obstruct the fights, Khytrov, Derevyanchenko, Wade, Jermell Charlo could offer Golovkin the best fights at MW.

With Haymon and his PBC series of shows, I would not expect any of his stable to appear on HBO anytime in the near future. This is one reason I really hope that Lee is able to retain his title against Quillin because if Quillin manages to get it back, it will vanish behind the Haymon Protective Services wall never to be seen again by a worthy middleweight.

the winner of quillin-lee (and lee-saunders, if lee should get past quillin)
cotto or canelo (presumably they will fight each other before fighting golovkin)
            the winner of n'dam-lemieux

then he will be the unified champ and he can leave middleweight behind and test himself against froch and ward

              take out quillin
              Knock out Saunders.
Move up and clean up the super middleweights preferably froch / ward

then a super fight with kovalev at the end of 2016

I think Lee handles Quillin, but we don't know if Lee might be tied to Haymon after this. HBO is trying to secure Kovalev with a contract extension, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if ME ends up moving him into the PBC. If HBO looses Kovalev, we might see some changes in the HBO/Haymon dynamics.

I honestly think a Lemieux fight would be more dangerous.

If Quillin is a signature win it would only be because he's American, not because of anything great he has displayed in the ring.

lee is contractually obligated to fight saunders if he wins the title as well, so that postpones a golovkin unification for a while. n'dam or lemieux seem to offer the most promising unification option for golovkin's next fight after monroe jr
