Comments Thread For: Mayweather-Pacquiao Demolishing Revenue Records

The revenue generated by the blockbuster fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao on May 2 could easily surpass $400 million, according to ESPN. The live gate for the pay-per-view clash at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas will generate $74 million, Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, said on Monday.

The existing gate record of $20 million was reached at Mayweather's junior middleweight unification fight against Canelo Alvarez from September 2013.

So lame bro.....it's a 5M immediate cash payout on top of whatever else comes along. The side trying to spin it is usually the side with something to hide.

How do you know it would be an immediate cash payout? Bob Arum still owes money to Floyd from when he was with TR. Don't be naive.
