Oscar Escandon (24-1, 16KOs) will make the first defense of his interim-WBA super bantamweight title on April 18th against undefeated Moises Flores (22-0, 16KOs). The fight will be part of the Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Andrzej Fonfara undercard from the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
Escandon won the title in December with a controversial twelve round split decision over Tyson Cave. Flores has heavy hands, stopping seven out of his last eight opponents. Both of the fighters are signed to manager/adviser Al Haymon.
