    You put boxrec.

You said the belt rankings are ****... who else are you supposed to trust some trash website is more reliable than the belt rankings? The WBC moved him up much higher than he should be and I'll openly admit I hadn't heard of him until he beat Macklin. Canelo and his fans are like Floyd... They give you some hate and ask you to prove them wrong, you do and then they move the goal post or spin the question to save face. Cotto needs to fight a MW - scheduled. Well that MW needs to be ranked - ranked. Now I'm seeing he should have fought 3 months after beating Sergio he waited too long, you guys are something else.

I didn't say they were shit, more like they shouldn't be THE factor in ranking someone as good. When you hear about a guy being a top 10 boxer, what are the first ratings you would provide to the individual? Definitely not belt/organization rankings. You rarely see them because a lot of the times, it doesn't hold much weight AND certain boxers only fight for certain belts.

You talking about Canelo's fans like Floyd. Funniest shit I've read all day. Seriously? Most of Cotto's fans on here talk about his ppvs and draws, etc.

Also, we don't know yet if he's fighting a MW @ MW(160). We might see Cotto fight a MW @ a catch weight. Heiland isn't even ranked in the top 10 on BoxingScene's ratings, that ought to tell you something.

And?? You don't see me making a big deal out of that fight. It won't be a great win for Canelo if he wins but it's still a much better fight than Cotto vs Heiland. Make a poll.

You don't want to take alphabelt title polls/rankings serious but you will on boxingscene? The same site that had Gatti/Pacquaio a 50/50 split...

The reason Cotto vs Heiland is a bad fight is because Cotto is levels above a B or C class fighter.

Kirkland being a D class fighter is more competive against Canelo. What does that mean about Canelo's talent... just think about that a minute...

You obviously didn't get it when I mentioned Boxingscene's ratings.

He's not levels above a B. He's proven that many times.

Kirkland has at least been in the top 2-3 in the division at one point unlike Heiland. Kirkland is much better than Heiland also. What does that tell you about Cotto vs Heiland(levels below a D fighter in Kirkland)? Think about it for a minute.

Was... Heiland just got a win over Macklin which is better than any win in Kirklands career lol. And Macklin isn't anything to brag about, I'm just saying he's better than Kirklands best win.

you didn't say credible at all.... and if you want "credibility", it also has GGG leaps & bounds ahead of any middleweight there

How can anyone support Kirkland as a viable opponent? The guy will have had to drop something like 55 pounds by the time the weigh in comes around. 55 POUNDS!!!!! Someone going to tell me the guy won't be totally drained? Ishida KOd him in the first round. If Canelo takes more than 3 to dispose of him, he should stay far away from any active middleweight for the foreseeable future.

IF Cotto fights Heiland at the MW limit, then it is a legitimate voluntary defense of his title. If he forces a catch weight, then it is not. If he fights someone from a lower weight class, it is not. Let's see who eventually does sign for the fight and what the conditions, if any, are before making any more ****** comments.
