Pretty clear that he's putting on a show for the fans, there. He's insanely fast, but he doesn't throw punches like that in a fight.

And there's also going to be someone, you know, fighting him back.

But you guys carry on with how much trouble Floyd is in, because of what you saw in a 60 second shadow boxing video.

what if Pac develops a check right hook and it practically mirrors Floyd's movement in the ring? that would be funny to watch

Nope. Gary Russell has plenty of speed.

Speed does kill, if used properly. As you can see Amir Khan, Yuriokis Gamboa and Manny Pacquiao are some of the fastest fighters in boxing right now. Probably top 3. Actually I would say as far as combinations go, they are definitely top 3.

But Pacquiao got put to sleep by Marquez, who is slower than him, but more calculating and accurate.

Khan has been put on the canvas a total of 9 times in his career.

And Gamboa has been down on the canvas 9 times as well.

Speed is a gift and a curse. If you master it and use it wisely, you'll never taste the canvas. If you are trigger happy and throw crazy combinations "from different angles", sooner or later in your career, you're gonna get caught and it's gonna happen multiple times if you don't adapt and it will result in multiple T/KO's.

You also have to have skills and fundamentals to fall back on when your speed fades.

Speed does kill, but to be successful you need to be fast in all areas, foot speed, hand speed, reflexes, head movement, etc. In addition, you would also need to have enough power to make that speed dangerous. Speed is negligible if you don't have the snap on you punches to hurt your opponent.
