Mexico City- Greek heavyweight Thanasis Michaloudis took a disappointing loss last night at The Auditorio Blackberry in Mexico City when he was stopped by rugged Mexican Vicente Sandez in four rounds.

After a quick start that saw Michaloudis take charge in the fight, everything changed after he landed an awkward right hand to Sandez’ head in the opening round and damaged his hand. Michaloudis winced with pain when he tried to use the punch, and it became apparent that he had suffered a serious injury.

Lol thanasis is short for Athanasios in greek. It's actually a cool sounding name if you hear it pronounced properly. Tough break for the kid, sounds like it might shorten his career.
