Rigondeaux and Golovkin are in the same boat.

Don't cry and complain that no one will fight you then impose ridiculous catchweights against guys in the division above you who are willing to fight.

Yeah except millions of people watch GGG fight every time he's on HBO. He's an A side compared to Ward. Rigo is the best fighter but has no fans and brings no $ to the table for the risk.

I read that interview and agreed with everything he said. Rigo is my dude but he needs to dare to be great.

A lot of people want to put him in the top 2-3 pound for pound and compare him to mayweather without proving it in the ring.

For the record i think Rigo would be fine at 126 against certain fighters (unsure about Lomachenko).

But why is everyone so against him trying to get a catchweight? It makes sense for him to try have the fights as close to his natural weight as possible

I think everyone is all for it, except for Rigo and his handlers. Hopefully it happens down the line sometime soon, and we will have our next superfight. First fight between 2 time Olympic gold medalists, the 2 best amateurs ever...the fight sells itself.

Only reason Floyd went to 154 was for winnable big money fights, it should be the same for Rigo imo. He shouldnt step up for the hell of it
