The way Chavez Jr. is jumping weight classes, all his fights from now on should be non-title exhibitions at a catchweight to be determined the day before the fight, since there's no way to know what weight he will be on the night of the fight. In the case that Chavez Jr. is too tired or doesn't really feel like going the distance, all contests will be limited to 6 rounds or less.
On a related note, it's funny how so many fighters who were seemingly on the rise and heading towards being considered amongst the best in their respective weight classes, since being Haymonized, are now going in the opposite direction and are unwilling to take the steps necessary to prove they are indeed legit contenders and/or champions.
Chavez Jr, Adonis Stevenson, Danny Garcia and Leo Santa Cruz are a few obvious examples that come to mind. I guess competition and legitimacy are no match for the Haymon factor.Comment

People give credit to chavez jr for being a world class fighter.. He isn't Marvis frazier, Ronald hearns, Aaron pryor jr...
But people won't give him credit for being a great fighter because he just hasnt proven he can win a big fight,, had he not performed so bad vs serg and won that fight, people would be giving him his just due as fighterComment

Because he is just a smoke and mirrors promotion. Now he's stepping up against a guy who is 6-2" with a 4" reach advantage and walks around at a trim 190-195 lbs with a genuine amateur and pro career after being inactive for over a year. This is not going to be the fight where Jr earns his due. Now he is way out of his league. This is going to Jr's retirement.People give credit to chavez jr for being a world class fighter.. I dnot think it will be his retirement, but I do agree with the notion that he will struggle at the higher weights.. His skillset is perfect vs smaller 160-168 guys, as he can bully them, and break them down.. But light heavy, chavez won't enjoy the huge size disparity and won't be able to bully.. I think he really struggles there and needs to be at 168Because he is just a smoke and mirrors promotion. Of course Jr. thinks of himself as more of a 168lber.
